Sobhagaya Mithila the first television channel in Maithili, this language holds a 1000 year old history. It has great tradition in the field of literature, art & culture. Maithili language has been included in 8th subsection of the Indian constitution and it have even received approval from sahitya academy, New Delhi in 1960. This language holds a long tradition of literary awards. Now this language even receives Prabodh Sahitya Samman which includes Rs. 1 Lakh as cash prize. There are more than 5 crore people who speak Maithili in India. It has always disturbed that a language with such a great tradition don’t have its own T.V. channel. I always had a dream that even Maithili should have its own T.V. channel. Dream of a Maithili T.V. channel was always in my mind. I always use to feel bad that such a great language don’t have its own channel. This feeling may be because of my affection towards my mother language. Even now have the same respect and affection towards my mother language. The affection of my mother language, tradition & culture has helped me lot to come out with the first Maithili channel in front of you all.
I have long experience in the field of electronic media. I have studied this field very closely. I am always going to make Sobhagaya Mithila a channel which can showcase the pious tradition, culture & literature of Maithili. The portrait of Maithili language, culture & society should be so great that we all should feel proud on it. I this way I want to make mine and your dream come true on Sobhagaya Mithila. I don’t only believe but i have full confidence that I am going to receive heartily support from you all. Sobhagaya Mithila. You should step forward to help your mother tongue. Specially those who have acclaimed a great position in there fields can help Sobhagaya Mithila by providing there guidance and support. Even single suggestion is very important to us. Those from the field of marketing and advertisement can do a lot for the channel. Only after your support Sobhagaya Mithila can become favorite channel in every home of Union.
It is very difficult to run a channel. We know that we have to face strong competition to bring our channel at the front’s seat of such a huge media community. Then even we have taken the responsibility to fulfill this task.
The only wish we have that Sobhagaya Mithila become one of the favorite channel of Indian community. We need your support to make this whish come true. To distribute a channel all over the union a great amount of money required. Management of any T.V. channel is unable organize such a amount easily. Sobhagaya Mithila needs your support at this point. Ask your cable operator to add Sobhagaya Mithila in your T.V. channel list., continue your requesting until he provide you Sobhagaya Mithila. If he starts then ask him to be consistent with the channel. If you really want you can have Sobhagaya Mithila on your T.V. sets, by doing that you can help us a lot and even make our path a bit easier to reach our aim.
If we get full support from distribution & advertisement department, then I am sure that Sobhagaya Mithila will attain the height on which we all want to see it. My aim is to serve Mithila & Maithili. The only thing which I want is absolute development of Mithilanchal. The voice of Mithila & Maithili should be heard by whole Union. The voice should reach the government and parliament house through Sobhagaya Mithila. This dream can only come true whwn Sobhagaya Mithila will receive support from you all.
